The plot I have read is also about " Overcoming the monster".This kind of plots is very usual in TV series, for instance , Breaking Bad, wich is in the top of cinema reviews nowdays .Andrés.
I read "Voyage and return" and an example of that plot would be the book "The hitchhiker´s guide to the galaxy" by Douglas Adams.
